3 Belgian customers, a couple and a man, accustom of the fishing.
For 6 fishing days, 17 marlins fished and released, an extraordinary day of 8 marlins in the South of Sao Pedro at Sao Vicente.
From May 1st to May 6th with Bertram
4 customers, group of Mikko Rethila, 4 fishermen of Finland.
For 5 fishing days in the South of Sao Vicente, 6 marlins fished and released for 12 contacts.
The first day 4 contacts, one marlin fished and released.
The third day a big marlin estimated between 350 and 380kg arrives at the boat after 1:15 of fight.
The fifth day two marlins at the same time, lost one, fished one of 200 kg.
From May 11th to May 16th with Bertram
Pacific Pêche, a lot of wind, the fish is at Sao Pedro, a lot of contact, but not enough result. During 5 days only two marlins fished and released.
From May 11th to May 16th with Pace
Pacific Pêche, always a little wind, the fishing takes place at Sao Pedro, 9 contacts, for 4 marlins fished and released.
From May 18th to May 22nd with Bertram
Customers from Club Faune , group of Mr Aubertin, nice customers and good fishermen.
Difficult, on 5 days 14 contacts and 3 marlins fished and released.
From May 24th to May 28th with Bertram
Customers group Lars, 4 good fishermen, after all this wind which we had, it is a sure cut for the marlin, the fish makes rare. For 5 days some contacts and only 3 marlins fished and released.
From May 24th to May 31st with the Pace
Customers Reddin with his wife and a friend, a regular customer, present every year.
Difficult fishing with the wind present. On May 26th a beautiful fish with approximately 350 kg (pounds 700), total 14 contacts for 6 marlins fished and released.
From 1st to 5 June with Bertram
Nicolai with his friends, very nice Danish customers, the fishing became difficult, there is no wind anymore, but the fish makes rare. We went to the South of Santo Antao, to the bench of the northeast, we stayed 3 nights at Tarrafal, but the marlin is still rare. In total 6 wahoos, 3 marlins fished and released and a marlin died about 200 kg. Customers were very happy.
From the 30 and 31 with Bertram
+ from 1st to 3 June with Pace
Dustin Foo, a very fervent person concerning the fishing, he makes his own lures (good ones). One marlin fished with Bertram, and two marlins fished with Pace.
From 5th to 9th June with Pace
Two Dutch customers, good fishermen, an extraordinary day with 8 contacts and 4 marlins fished and released of which a beautiful one about 300 kg, only one day without fish, total 7 marlins.
From 8th to 13th June with Bertram
Two English customers, David Milne, he comes every year. Total in 6 days, 8 contacts with 4 marlins fished and released, a big one estimated around 320 kg.
From 10th to 15th June with Pace
Customers from Normandy now became friends (oyster farmers), they were very satisfied, they fished 5 marlins in 6 days, including some wahoo and dorade coryphène at Sao Pedro and in the South of Santo Antao.
From 15 to 19 June with Bertram and Pace
Customers who had already come in 2007, this year they came again with their reels, rods and lures. We took a marlin the first day, the next day nothing, so we left for Sao Nicolau. On the way close to Raso islander a marlin. The next day 4 contacts, two fishes caught at the same time, the fights took 15/20 minutes and we lost them.
Return the last day to Sao Vicente and one marlin fished and released (150 kg).
From 22 to 26 June with Pace
4 Russian Customers, kind persons. The first day one marlin fished and released, approximately 200 kg at Sao Pedro.
The next day two contacts, one marlin lost. The third day, a record one fish in 500 kg, he took the line non-stop, the customer is ready, he begins to bring back, but the marlin goes away again, there is nothing to do, the skipper follows the fish, the line makes a big roundness, soon we do not have line anymore and it is over, the marlin is lost, lines, lure, everything is gone…..
The next two days, we made three contacts, for one marlin fished and released (250 kg) and a yellowfin of 70 kg.

2 English customers, 45 and 51 years, lovers of the sport fishing.
For 7 fishing days (a small rest in between the stay) 7 marlins fished and released for 13 contacts.
4 days at Sao Nicolau (5) and 3 days at Sao Vicente (2), a useless day in the stay.
From April 7th to April 12th with the Pace
3 French customers recommended by VDP, never fished blue marlins.
For 5 fishing days in the North of Sao Vicente, 6 marlins fished and released for 12 contacts.
The second day a big marlin considers between 350 and 400 kg arrives at the boat after 1:10 of fight.
The fourth day two marlins at the same time, one 180kg in stand-up and one at the seat 150kg.
From April 8th to April 13th with the Bertram
4 Swedish customers, good fishermen with their equipments (fishing rods and reels 80lbs).
For 5 fishing days, 9 marlins fished all in stand-up at Sao Pedro, it is necessary to have a good health, especially when there is a rough sea and if the marlin is decided to jump like a young foal. Total 14 contacts.
The biggest approximately 300 kg, after 45 minutes to the boat.
From April 15th to April 22nd with the Pace
2 French, novice customers certainly, but full of willingness.
For 6 fishing days, 10 marlins fished and released at Sao Pedro, in the same day twice two marlins, four in total at the boat, the fishes of 180 to 250kg, very combative, the biggest in the armchair returned to the boat about 01:15. The customers death of fatigue.
From 20 to 25 April with the Bertram
2 customers, withdrawal, no plane from London, stay postponed to 2011.
From April 23rd to May 2nd with the Pace
2 German customers for 10 fishing, every year Stefan comes to fish with us, especially with the skipper Calu.
This year in 2 days only 1 marlin at Sao Vicente, for 3 contacts.
Direction Sao Nicolau in 4 days with the crossing 2 marlins fished / released.
Then return to Sao Vicente for 5 marlins fished / released in 5 fishing days.
Few fishes for this big fisherman can be better next year.
From 26th to April 30th with the Bertram
Mr and Mrs Dussaud sended by Club Fauna, together with Mr Leroux journalist of Partir Pêcher.
5 fishing days, 7 marlins fished / released. The last extraordinary day, 3 marlins at the same time, one lost and then 2 other marlins at the same time, fishes between 180 and 300kg. Great day.

On March 11
We begin the season with two assiduous customers of big game, Jean Marc Testi and Roger Coutance (some guys from Normandy). 3 Contacts and two marlins fished in the North of Sao Vicente, including one beautiful of approximately 280 kilos, 55 minutes fight, after that the customer was tired.
On March 12
Always in the North, the sea was calm, two contacts at the same time, a marlin which was taken down 10 meters of the edge and the second captured after 30 minutes fight (180 kilos).
At 14:30 two other contacts, which one remains hanged, it arrives 5 meters to the boat and sets out again to take 200 meters line, a little obstinate, still 15 minutes it returns along the edge, it was released later, estimated 200 kilos.
On March 13
On North, no wind, 5 contacts, 3 marlins fished and released, beautiful fights, good fishermen.
On March 14
A little wind we go to the South at Sao Pedro, towards 9:00 the first contact, at 10:00 the first fish, 40 minutes fight, the customer was sprinkled, but happy. At 12:30, a big marlin on 80lbs fishing rod, it will be longer, the fish jumps about 300 to 400 meters and it continues taking line, at least 700 meters.
Now the fish cool down and Jean Marc starts to take the line, but it is hard. He is sweating. It was almost one hour fight; the fish is close about 100 meters. Fortunately it remains on the surface and finally it is at the boat, approximately 350 kilos, after 1: 10 fight.
On March 15
We turn over to the South, always a little wind. Up to midday, nothing, a little frustration. Finally a contact, it takes 100 meters of line and it releases. At 14:15 one fish, a marlin at the boat in 20 minutes, approximately 140 kilos. The day finishes. The customers are happy; they never fished a marlin before, total 9 marlins.
On March 18
Three Russian customers, young guys. We go to North, there’s no wind. At 10:05 a marlin, it probes, it takes 500 meters of line, we did not see it, it did not jump, and we just felt the attack. About 40 minutes later it arrives at the boat (160 kilos) tired, the customer tired also.
At 14: 00 a contact ......... 14:20 another departure, this time it holds, it took the 80lbs line, it takes line again, but it is calmed after 300 meters, it returns easily to the boat, it is not a big one, 140 kilos.
March 19
We set out again to the South, at 9:05 a contact, the fish is hanged, it jumps, it jumps, it takes line, it probes now, approximately 500 meters line out, the fisherman can do nothing. The line still slips by, about 600 meters, the line is now on the vertical position, it stops, the fisherman starts taking line, and it is not easy to fish. The line is always on the vertical, but it goes up gently, still 300 meters, now 200 meters, the line becomes soft, the fisherman goes up the line and it was taken down, the lure is there. The customer is disappointed nevertheless 50 minutes fight for nothing. At 12:20 a marlin of approximately 200 kilos fished and released.
March 20
It’s windy; we turn over to the South. Very good day, no problem, 6 contacts, 3 marlins fished and released.
March 21
It’s still windy, at 10:00 2 marlins, one of 150 kilos and the other of the 180 kilos, the biggest one was taken in stand-up 35 minutes fight. We got 2 other contacts but nothing fished.
March 22
4 contacts, but no fishing, always taken down, the white quarter moon increases.
Total 8 marlins, the customers are pleased

He caught also 2 sailfish and several wahoo.

He loves fishing the wahoo, we went 3 days to the bench of Western North, each day he caught about 6 to 8 wahoos; in the first day a 300 kgs marlin and in the next two days 3 yellowfin.

In 6 contacts caught 3 yellowfin; 3 sailfish.
